Give yourself a break !

Here's some links to sites that I just like for their content or just for something fun.

Internet hoaxes, email rumors and urban legends: Come on...you've all heard about them or received e-mails yourself of some horrible thing that is menacingly "out there." This site separates the wheat from the chaff, so to speak.  I check this site any time I get one of those alarming e-mails.  Very enlightening and entertaining reading, and time saving since you won't need to send on the ones that are bunk.

For your required daily grins and chuckles, check out the "Ask Dr.Science" web site. According to the site's description, Dr. Science is "America's foremost authoritarian on the world around us. Or at least the world around him."

"There is a thin line between ignorance and arrogance," Dr. Science says, "and only I have managed to erase that line."

There's plenty of interesting and amusing bits to read on this site, but if nothing else, create a daily habit to read the question of the day...or submit a question yourself! (They will also put you on an e-mail list to receive the question of the day if requested.)

The website sums things up this way: "How does Dr. Science know the secrets of the universe? He has a Master's Degree ... in Science!"

Here's a quirky picture I took on the hood of my car one hot August day.
No, giant grasshoppers aren't taking over the world.  The photo has been enlarged to enhance the details.
